- In honor of Black History Month, Visit Concord has information about Thurgood Marshall Regional Park, home of Port Chicago 50.“On June 1, 2021, [the park] is officially named after the first African-American U.S. Supreme Court justice and the group of 50 black seafarers he advocated as a civil rights attorney for the NAACP. ”
- STAND!’s Youth Against Violence program A public service announcement playing this month at your local Century Theater. The campaign is entitled “Abuse Is Unglamorous!” It is also designed to encourage teens to stop glorifying abuse through media such as music and television. (Stand up!
