The entire Audi A3 family got a new styling along the way. In this gallery, a slightly sportier S3 hatchback is tested in the snow.
The S3 sports an improved front fascia with two stacked openings and trapezoidal entrances in the corners. The bar in the center of the grill looks bigger. The headlights have the same shape, but the graphics inside the lamps are new.

Along the sides, engineers cover the fenders and side sills with camouflage. However, the styling does not look much different from the current car. Hiding these areas could mean that there are still unseen styling tweaks.
The rear of the S3 has a new graphic tail light. The bumper is now a vertical reflector instead of the current horizontal design. Also, it looks like the simulated vents and diffuser are gone.
So far, there have been no spy shots showing the revamped A3 interior. However, some adjustments are expected.
The refreshed A3 range’s powertrain tuning is also a mystery. In the US, the current S3 has a 306 horsepower (228 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Newton m) turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
In previous spy shots, we got to see the refreshed A3 and RS3 in sedan form. Styling tweaks are similar to the S3, including a revised front end, updated lights and a modified rear bumper.
The updated A3 series is expected to debut in 2023. It’s not yet clear if Audi will debut the standard model at the same time as his S3 and RS3, or launch it later. Spy shots also show that versions using either Allroad or Allstreet are in the works.
Audi plans to end the introduction of internal combustion engine vehicles in 2025. The next-generation A3 is expected to arrive later that year. So it will be an EV.
