Automotive Grade Linux Showcases Open Source Technology and Software Defined Vehicle at CES 2023

AGL is an open source project hosted at the Linux Foundation that is changing the way automakers build software.is more than 150 people, including 10 automakers, are collaborating to develop a common platform that will become the de facto industry standard for infotainment, telematics and instrument cluster applications. Sharing an open platform enables code reuse and streamlines the development process. Developers and suppliers can build once and have their products work with multiple automakers.

The AGL Unified Code Base (UCB) platform includes the operating system, middleware, and application framework, providing 70-80% of the starting point for production projects. Automakers and suppliers customize the remaining 20-30% of the platform with features, services, and branding that meet the needs of their products and customers.
