Gardai has arrested a man and seized a Toyota Land Cruiser jeep as part of a robbery investigation in central Leinster.
According to Garda headquarters, Gardai in Kildare arrested a man on Wednesday 1 February, targeting criminal activity suspected of involvement in a robbery in the central Leinster area under Operation Tor. A number of vehicles were seized as part of the investigation.
Detectives intercepted a vehicle believed to be carrying stolen goods in Athy District around 10:50 am on Wednesday, February 1, the statement said.
A man in his late 20s was arrested at the scene and detained at Kildare Garda railway station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
A suspected stolen caravan is seized by the Gardai. In a follow-up investigation, Gardai seized a 231 Toyota Land Cruiser, also suspected of criminal proceeds.
