Detroit (FOX 2) – Michigan State Police seized multiple firearms, the suspect’s mobile phone and found the stolen vehicle after arresting the suspect late Wednesday.
The arrest occurred after the driver attempted to stop traffic instead fleeing the scene.
The co-pilot turned on the lights of a speeding Dodge Challenger in the area of I-96 and Grand River Avenue.
Despite the vehicle’s escape, an MSP police helicopter was in the area and was able to pursue the vehicle. The suspect, a 29-year-old man from Detroit, fled on foot to his Maplewood Street home after abandoning his car in an alleyway.

State troopers first secured a Dodge Challenger before summoning the suspect in a patrol car PA.
A suspect came out and was arrested without further incident.
