Hyundai has launched the new Grand i10 Nios hatchback, one of his best-selling models for many years. It will suit the Maruti Suzuki Swift, which is due to undergo a major facelift soon. The new Grand i10 Nios in a new avatar looks different from its predecessor and offers more features than ever before.

Hyundai has launched the new Grand i10 Nios in four wide variants. They are called Era, Magna, Sportz and Astra. Available in both ICE and CNG versions, the hatchback has a starting price of ¥5.68 million rupees (in front of the showroom).that is ¥Rs 84,600 for top end variant (ex showroom). The price of the CNG version is ¥7.56 lakh and 8.11 lakh (ex-showroom).
Compared to the Hyundai hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Swift is slightly more expensive, with a starting price of ¥5.91 million rupees (in front of the showroom). Swift is also available in pertol and CNG versions. The price of the ICE version is ¥Top-spec ZXi Plus with AGS transmission unit is 87,100 rupees (before showroom). His CNG version of the hatchback ¥7.77 million rupees and ¥84,500 rupees (former showroom).

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios vs Maruti Suzuki Swift: Specs
The size of the Hyundai hatchback is 3,815 mm in length, 1,680 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,450mm, and newly designed 15-inch aluminum wheels are set.
By comparison, Maruti’s hatchback offers a similar wheelbase but is slightly larger in size. It’s 35mm longer, 55mm wider and just 10mm taller than its Hyundai rival. A similar wheelbase also means similar space within the cabin.

While Maruti’s rival is larger in size, Hyundai’s hatchback is superior in terms of features offered. The new Grand i10 Nios is packed with features, many of which are new to the segment. 30 safety features including up to 6 airbags, hill assist, parking assist and burglar alarm. Inside the cabin, Hyundai offers new features such as a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, a Type C charging port for phones, wireless charging, a rear AC vent and a cooled glovebox. These features, and some others offered by the new Grand i10 Nios, are not available on the Maruti Suzuki Swift.

Under the hood, both hatchbacks are equipped with 1.2-liter 4-cylinder units. Both the Grand i10 Nios and Swift offer a choice of 5-speed manual or automatic gearboxes. In terms of power output, the Hyundai hatchback is slightly less powerful than its Multi rival. The Grand i10 Nios can produce up to 83 PS of power, while the Swift offers around 7 PS more. In terms of maximum torque output, both are roughly equivalent with 114 Nm and 113 Nm respectively.
