Kia Seltos owner upgrades to a Jeep Meridian: 11 likes & 6 dislikes

City mileage is a staggering 5.5 km/l – I hope this is at least 7 or 8!

BHPian car-o-holic I recently shared this with another enthusiast.

Update after 1 week and 250 km on the Meridian:

good point:

  • Love the feel of the car as soon as you sit inside. Brings a big smile!
  • nice cruiser and fits my driving style
  • Great suspension swallows rough roads – so different from our Seltos
  • fun music experience
  • I love wireless carplay. Such a boon and no wires lying around unnecessarily!
  • Love that sun/moon roof – first car with a setup like this!
  • Great seats and ventilated seats work well too
  • The air conditioning in the middle and rear seats is also the best so far (of course, the outside temperature in Bangalore hasn’t topped 25 degrees so far – the air conditioning is set to 22 degrees and on auto mode).
  • No overtaking problems in limited runs so far
  • Easy to handle in the city and easy to make a U-turn for a large car!
  • Like the convenience of nifty features like lights in the glove box, lights in the doors that illuminate the contents placed in the bottle holder space, lumbar support in the front seats, and 360-degree cameras (with cars parked on either side). very useful for navigating narrow roads with high traffic!), auto-dimming IVRM & side steps to aid entry

What could have been better:

  • Mirror display to know whether it is lit or not!
  • Not having a built-in sunshade (similar to my Sertos) on such an expensive car is definitely a big miss!
  • The hardness of the accelerator pedal may have decreased a little! Or maybe it’s the angle, but I’m slowly getting used to it.
  • The steering is a bit heavy (compared to the Sertos, which may take some getting used to over time).
  • Sliding out the middle seats to use was a nice addition – especially for older people in the family
  • City mileage is a staggering 5.5 km/l – I hope this is at least 7 or 8!

Overall, we are very happy with this car and love it all! Please do!
