One of the country’s best-selling compact cars, the Mazda2 has undergone a major facelift that redefines the segment’s style. Modifications include a new black or body-colored grille-adorned fascia.
The addition of a sleeker bumper design creates a streamlined new look. All Mazda2 hatchbacks feature asymmetrically placed color accents on the front grille and rear bumper to enhance the vehicle’s youthful spirit.
The hatchback variant, like the top-of-the-line GT sedan, is treated with a redesigned rear bumper that accentuates the attractive profiles of the two body styles. Two of his new paint schemes, Aero Gray Metallic and Airstream Blue Metallic, are offered for the first time.
Mazda2’s two most accessible grades, Pure and Pure SP, come with a host of bespoke features inspired by Mazda’s evolved Kodo design language. These unique products include dash trim pieces in three colors finished in Pure White, Mirror Black or Mint.
Which one you get depends on your car’s exterior paint scheme. The Pure SP further enhances its aesthetic value with a black film that covers the roof.
Taking cues from the sporty Mazda2 Genki of a decade ago, the updated Evolve and range-topping GT variants of the Mazda2 embrace a similarly dynamic philosophy.
Inside, the Evolve and GT are finished with a sharp black interior contrasting with red highlights, right down to the seat stitching and air vent area. The GT takes it to another level with partially leather seats and a red and black dashboard.
It also features a new aero-inspired multi-spoke alloy wheel design and sophisticated dual exhaust tips. With the exception of the Pure, all grades are equipped with streamlined ‘shark fin’ antennas, enhancing the Mazda2’s chic aesthetic.
“Mazda2 has always been a fan favorite with modern road users and buyers who enjoy a premium product that delivers just the right combination of safety, quality, economy and drivability,” said Mazda Australia Managing Director. Binesh Bindi said.
The updated Mazda2 will go on sale in June 2023, with deliveries beginning in July 2023. Please contact your nearest Mazda dealer for details.
