Willys-Jeep Style Open Top Mahindra Thar
The Mahindra Thar is available in both soft-top and hard-top variants. The former is designed with safety in mind. Keep the windshield upright. The doors and roll cage are also intact. However, KAM Customs’ modified Thar has many changes. The original windshield frame, door frames and roll cage have been replaced with bespoke parts and assemblies. It has a foldable windshield similar to the old Mahindra Jeep. The new Jeep Wrangler also has this option.

Get a removable roll cage
Additionally, KAM Customs has added a new roll cage that mounts to the A, B, and C pillar mounting points. It can also be removed. The driver’s seat and passenger’s seat are also equipped with a soft top canopy. Instead of the original door frame, the designer added a simple tube frame door with no window. There are no rear seats. Other specifications and features remain the same. You can also see the gray steel wheels of his SUV in base spec.

Overall, KAM Customs has done a great job. Proper planning and meticulous metalworking are required for such mods to succeed. Adding a removable roll cage is also very impressive. This chopped roof tar was built for a Member of Parliament (MP). This explains the lack of a PA (Public Relations) system and rear seats. Thanks to the chopped roof, it’s the perfect vehicle for public campaigns.
