OVERLAND PARK, Kansas (KCTV) – Authorities are looking for a suspect in Overland Park after a man driving a stolen Jeep crashed into one of the police cars.
Police say this all happened before 2:30 p.m.
At that time, the Overland Park Police received a call about a stolen vehicle at an apartment building in the area of 138th Street and Metcalf Avenue.
When the police arrived they saw a black jeep. However, the man driving it crashed into a police car. No officers were injured.
The driver then continued on to another apartment on 140th Street and Metcalfe.
Upon arrival, the suspect came out and fled.
The suspect continued walking and stopped at an apartment in the 140th Street and Metcalfe neighborhoods.
At that moment, the suspect got out of the car and fled.
As of 4:15 pm, police are still looking for a suspect.
Kansas Highway Patrolmen and police officers from Leawood, Lenexa, and Olais are on hand to assist.
