Police search for suspect who robbed Federal Way nail salon at gunpoint
The two suspects stole several items from employees and customers Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Federal Way police are looking for two suspects who robbed an employee and a customer at gunpoint at a Federal Way nail salon Wednesday afternoon.
Federal Way Police reported that at approximately 2:44 p.m. on January 18, two male suspects robbed a Perfect Nails and Spa near the 2100 block on Southwest 336th Street.
Upon entering the nail salon, one suspect fired several times into the ceiling. The suspect stole the wallets, wallets, watches, cash and mobile phones of employees and customers before fleeing the salon, the report said.
A woman who had a manicure at a nail salon told police she saw the two shooters enter and heard a loud “boom” and realized it was a gun. Her iPhone was stolen by one of the suspects, who dropped it when leaving the salon.
No customers or employees were injured.
The two suspects fled in a gray Jeep Compass with Oregon plates, a rented vehicle stolen from Tacoma.The vehicle was last seen driving west on SW 336th Street. It’s time.
According to police reports, the primary suspect appears to be a Hispanic or Pacific Islander man wearing a black hoodie and black shorts. The second suspect was wearing a white hoodie with a red knit cap and black pants.
Video surveillance shows the first suspect entered a nearby Pho restaurant, then quickly left, spoke to someone in the passenger seat of a parked Jeep, and then climbed into the driver’s seat. Minutes later, both suspects exited the vehicle, hooded and wearing masks, according to police reports. Video footage shows the two suspects walking into a nail salon and fleeing after about a minute.
