Toyota Kirloskar Motor has reportedly announced a recall of around 1,400 vehicles in India. Recalled units such as the Glanza hatchback and Urban Cruiser HyRyder SUV are reported to have defective airbag controllers. According to Mint’s report, these models were manufactured between December 8th and he January 12th of last year.
Toyota guarantees that airbag controller malfunctions will be resolved soon. The automaker says it will replace defective airbag controllers in both the Granza and Urban Cruiser his Highrider. The recall from Toyota comes days after Maruti Suzuki issued a recall of several models for similar technical issues. Maruti Suzuki has announced a recall of his 17,362 units.
