The group said it expects to sell about 3,800 new and used vehicles a year at the four dealerships it has acquired.
West Herr CEO Scott Bieler said in a statement:
Downing, president of family-owned Town Auto, said in a statement that the move is strategic and will allow his company to focus on store operations in western New York, south and west of Buffalo. Towne Auto currently has five stores in three New York cities, according to its website.
Last year, West Herr added three stores in less than a month in the spring.
The company acquired a Honda store in Canandaigua, New York, from Victory Automotive Group in May. Then, on June 1st, West Herr added a Chevrolet store in Rochester, NY with her Bethanne Hollis Kaiser. Following this, the company also bought her first Mazda store in Canandaigua in June.
Following Monday’s trading, which also included the Bowmansville collision center, West Herr said it now has 39 dealerships in New York.
